Aasif Mujtaba

Founder & Director, Shaagird Foundation

An alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University and IIT-Delhi, Aasif Mujtaba has an excellent academic background and exemplary technical skills. An avid team leader and a proud recipient of "Roll of Honor" of IIT-DELHI, he is currently a Research Scholar at the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT-DELHI.

He is the Founder and Director of Shaagird Foundation and Miles2Smile Foundation, dedicated to grassroots educational upliftment, child protection, and holistic community rehabilitation. He also serves as the Director of Sunrise Public School, a relief school providing quality education to underserved children, and has authored two international books.

Aziz Akhtar

Board Member, Shaagird Foundation

Aziz Akhtar is an educationist and academic leader with over 40 years of experience across India and the UAE, covering Indian and British curricula. His expertise includes school leadership, professional development, and educational quality enhancement.

He began his career at Modern School, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi, and subsequently served as Principal of schools in India and the UAE. He spent over 15 years with GEMS Education, Dubai, serving as Executive Principal of various schools, including one with over 10,000 students and 1,000 employees. He was later promoted to Chief Academic Officer, GEMS Education – India.

Mr. Akhtar also served as a UNESCO Specialist in Bhutan and currently advises school managements on institutional effectiveness.
